It's a. Complicated answer, It depends on which Tvio you have and which Tvio mini you have. I spoke with Best Buy and Tvio support to figure it out email me if you want to talk
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We hooked it to our internet using coaxial cable and it worked fine. However, the first mini we tried using the same setup never worked, so wee returned it. If you have a MOCA network, be sure you’re connecting to the existing MOCA network during set-up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only 2 ways to connect, Ethernet or Moca. I have used both and find the performance pretty equal either way. But the connections are the same for this version and the previous version which I currently still have.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The newest version of mini uses either cat-5 or cat-6 Ethernet connection or Mcoa - what I think you are referring to as coax. I use the Ethernet and it works fine. However, make sure you register the mini so it shows up on your MyTiVo account and update the OS on any older TiVo you will connect to; I have a Roamio and it required the update to use the voice feature on the remote. I haven’t experienced any lag in Internet speed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There’s now and WiFi adapter for it too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has the same internet connection options as the previous model. No WiFi. You can use hardwired Ethernet or create a moca network over coax. If your getting interference with coax moca you probably don’t have a proper isolated splitter off the main line separating your line to the cable modem and line to tv service. You could probably use a Ethernet over power line setup as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
