Not if you’re playing solo. You won’t be able to play with another player on missions. All that’s required is internet. You’ll see other players and they’ll even ask you to join their party and if you attempt to you’ll be prompted to purchase ps plus.

I’m not sure. I never didn’t have a PlayStation Plus Subscription. I’m assuming you’ll be fine as long as you have a internet connection but you may not be able to download extra content
