• You will receive your updates when you connect the GPS to your computer. The software from TomTom is "MyDrive connect" .Moreover, you do not need a smartphone.

• No, there is a USB cord with the purchase so you can update the maps on a computer.

• No, you can get the map updates through your computer just download the TOMTOM home app to update your maps.

• You can download the TOMTOM home app to your computer register your device and create an account and update it with your computer.
