• The battery on this TomTom can be replaced under the Geek Squad protection warranty.

• Yes means it is more difficult to remove if you are technically savy. Some are solder in.

• Yes to your question. it can NOT be changed, but in most cases it won't need to be changed unless there in a defect. I have an older model TomTom GPS that I have had for almost 10 years and it is still going strong. The only reason I purchase this new device is because my old model did not come with life-time map updates. this one does. before I would have to pay $60.00 OR more for the updates to U.S. maps alone. the battery stills holds about a 2 hour charge when in use without being plugged in. that's standard charge life.
