• yes....no problems either use a 2.5 adapter sleeve. just make sure cables did not get tangled, and ensure your desktop has a free power connector. do not reformat upon install.

• Yes it can be installed in a desktop computer, just buy a new sata cable and plug it into the motherboard and then into the drive and you're all set. You'll also want to find a power cable coming off the power supply to power it, you should have an extra inside the case
