• I don't have that exact model, but I put it in a HP dv7 series and it fits and works great. You can always consult with the Geek Squad and then buy it there in store, or buy online and pick up in Best Buy.

• YES, this is a standard hard drive replacement, you may need to use the HP rails to set in place.

• Yes the laptop requires a SATA and this is SATA. You would have to copy everything to your new hard drive using hard drive cloning software.

• Do NOT use a HDD that is smaller than your existing/original HDD if you are going to recover with an image. You can contact GeekSquad to verify, but all new HDD for Windows7 need to be the same size or larger.
