• No you do not. The TV is loud enough. I would only use a sound bar. To improve the quality of the sound.

• Hi--If the TV has a headphone jack on back you can plug in some PC speakers and get excellent sound--Otherwise you may have to have the digital optical plug in back to get some improved sound such as a soundbar--Hope this helps--Larry
