A:AnswerAll HDTV have a headphone out jack, also an optical digital audio out jack on the back of the TV somewhere; e.g. Roku Soundbars come with an optical audio cable that can be connected between the HDTV optical audio out jack, and the Roku optical audio input jack. then you can change the TV's audio output source from internal TV speakers to the TV optical audio output cable which will drive the Roku speakers, and the TV volume control on the TV remote will control the audio volume that is output by the HDTV's optical audio out jack into the Roku soundbar speakers via the Roku optical audio cable. you don't even have to buy a separate optical cable for digital audio! Also the Roku soundbar pro features expandable arrays of additional home theatre bluetooth speakers, that can be purchased separately, or as a Roku optional extra. (go to roku.com for latest models, special deals and online sales promotions, etc.). i got my roku soundbar with roku remote control, and optical cable for digital audio connection to TV that don't have an ARC HDMI jack available to connect to the Roku, but the roku can connect to the HDTV sound output via either ARC HDMI or optical digital audio output jack (most HDTV have both, and older HDTV have at least the latter).
