Found a portion of the question - the feature closest to what you're describing would allow the Toshiba Fire TV Smart TV to power on using the last HDMI input it was using. To set that up, navigate to Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On > Last Input. Thanks
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The other TV HDMI/AVI inputs can be found/changed via the remote settings button. Scroll down to inputs and select the one you want. But, don't look for them on the "home screen" settings, as this basically changes or adds to your apps only.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you push the “Gear” (I assume for Settings) button on the remote, it will bring in a menu on the right of the screen. One of the options there is Inputs. This works for me with the last input used setting on Power Up. On my remote, the “Gear” button is the middle of the row just above the Prime Video and Netflix Shortcut buttons.
