“I just bought this TV. There is a red light at the bottom thar stays on constantly. Is there a setting to turn off the light so we won't have to see it if the TV is on or off?”

If I knew in advance that a simple power LED indicator light could not be disabled, I would have purchased a different TV. Unacceptable. Please fix through a software update. It’s a feature on other brands and should be standard. Time to break out the electric tape.

While the TV is powered off the red light should be displaying but once the TV turns on the red light should go off. Unfortunately, there is no way to adjust this in the settings. I searched through the settings and couldn't find a way to change the behavior of that light. I believe this should be the default mode of behavior, so if yours is different you might try resetting your tv. You'll probably lose any setup changes you've made, though.
