Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you are using cable only, I don't believe there is a need to connect to wifi. However, given the applications on the tv, you might want to leverage them and enhance your viewing experience. You tube alone (free) is totally worth it. Connect, give it a try... you can always toggle between Wave and the wifi apps.... and you can always disconnect.
