“My fire edition will not work with my DirecTV box. With the remote I have to keep putting the input hdmi 1 to use the DirecTV box every time I turn my tv on. How can I get the home screen off from the fire edition tv every time. Last input doesn’t work”

• I had essentially the same situation. Turns out if you bring up the menu and poke around in the settings, there is an option that tells the TV to come on to the last used input so it'll stay on HDMI1.

• The last input for hdmi 1 does not stay on. Once you set it that way, it blinks and back it goes to the home screen. So the answer from above did not work! People said to purchase a apple cube and then it will work. Thank you
