Not sure about Spectrum. You should be able to turn the TV on and off. The input is another story. I have a Harmony universal remote and it's programmed to turn on my DirecTV, go to ESPN and turn my TV to the HDMI1 input and it does every time. The remote that comes with the TV automatically goes to the home screen then you must pick the input that you want. Hope this helps.
