“I cannot get the TV channel guide to work for my xfinity cable - I did a channel scan (settings_Live TV_Channel Scan) but did not scan any channels. I was hoping not to have to use xfinity remote to change channels - any suggestions?”

There has to be a converter box used with the television or you could add subscriptions to your tv like HBO, Starz, and CBS Live. Make sure you choose cable box when setting up your channels

If you are using Cable Service, connect your Cable Box to the Fire TV Edition television using HDMI. You will need to use the Cable Box remote to change channels. David M. - Toshiba Support
