• You can try the Power On feature: Go Home > Settings > Display & Sounds > Power On and select Last Input. David M. - Toshiba Support

• If you go to Settings>Display & Sounds>Power On, you can set the opening screen to Last Input instead of Home, but those are your only two choices. If you do that, if you were watching HDMI1 when the TV was last powered down, that input will come up for you. There is no way however, to make HDMI1 the permanent default.

• There is an option to set It so when you turn on the tv it will direct you to hdmi1 automatically. you should be able to find that in settings.
