“I just bought this tv. I have an older cable box that I’m trying to connect it to. The cable box has a coax connection as well as an RCA connection. I bought an HDMI to RCA converter box to try to get an HDMI picture, but no luck. Any help?”

Simply use the coax connection on the TV. You could hook the RCA (composite) directly to the back of the TV but there is no benefit to this over the coax. For your best picture you will need to upgrade to a cable box that has an HDMI out, then plug that directly to an HDMI input on the TV.
