“Does this TV pass both Dolby and DTS out through an optical cable to an A/V receiver? Some specs online read like it can only pass DTS. If a newer audio format is detected will the optical output revert to PCM or can it pass an older Dolby format instead?”

• The Fire TV Edition television supports Dolby Digital - 5.1 Passthrough Optical. To change the Audio Output settings go: Home > Settings > Display and Sounds > Audio Output > Turn TV Speakers OFF and Select Digital Audio Format PCM. David M. - Toshiba Support
