HD antenna will provide accessible local stations at no cost, and in HD. Assuming your Direct TV makes your local channels available, no HD antenna required. This is a Fire TV, so the Fire Stick is no longer needed. You will use whatever cable is required for Direct TV, probably HDMI for best reception.
