Bios F.23 11/22/2012 I would expect it to match the connector, Just after not seeing much on sata 2.6 and then finding it says something about the connector difference and an adapter. I do not want to deal with anything more, just swap out and be done. and feel seagate failed me on this one so other brand will suffice. Otherwise I will pick another drive.”

The subject hard drive is a SATA or Serial ATA slim hard drive that is compatible with most PC and Mac laptops.

Please try again later.The latest SATA revision 2.6 adds new physical and performance features to the previous SATA revision 2.5, also referred to as SATA 3.0Gbps, specification.. Any brand of 2.5 drive will work. You made need to removal an adapter from the old drive. Bring the old drive in to compare.
