Toshiba makes very good hard drives that are very reliable. You'll run into some lemons with all brands even the seagates and western digitals but I've always bought Toshiba hard drives and they've always been good to me. Of course, the high end Seagates will probably last a while but ALL hard drives will die eventually due to the fact that they are mechanical. I've even seen Solid State drives fails and they have no moving parts.
