The TV has an optical cable output and a headphone output for external sound. The RCA jacks are for inputs
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have cable tv then hook it up to the back of the audio input jacks of the cable box. If you don't have cable then yes connect to the back of your tv. It doesn't matter what brand or kind of sound bar. I hooked up my neighbors and he bought it from Kmart.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It also has ARC (CEC control) for sound through the HDMI ports... It also has digital optical out, if that is your other digital choice.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This TV only has an earphone jack (No RCA jacks) for audio out but you can get an inexpensive adapter to convert it to 2 RCA jacks. The stereo earphone jack can also be set to either turn off the TV's internal speakers or to keep them on when the jack is in use. The volume output of the earphone jack is also controlled along with the TV's volume so you should be able to use virtually any sound bar out there. Hope I have answered your questions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most modern TVs have an optical (toslink) audio out. Any typical soundbar has this option. You could get the Insignia one for cheap and pick up a cable and boom, you're done. Fancier soundbars will have HDMI inputs and modern TVs including this one have an ARC HDMI port that can be used to relay or receive audio.
