• My usage (second choice) is to bring desired video up in my chromebook, smart phone, or laptop, -then Cast it to TV. Once on TV, the casting device is no longer required and can be shut off.--seems awkward to using Firestick. My preference is Firestick streaming, which among many other things allows easy projection of any Youtube video. Roku sort of works but with audio/video out of sync.

• Yes. But I think user can't control it at all. Must use smartphoe or PC Chrome browser to control it. Maybe Google support forum has some expert can provide more detail for you. https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/chromecast

• Not sure. Do know once it is loaded you can watch you tube and a lot of movies.
