“Sometimes when using the volume up or down buttons on my remote, the volume will keep moving up or down after lerring go of the volume button. This also happens with the forward and backwards buttons on the navigational pad. Batteries have been changed.”

There is probably gunk inside of it. I had the same thing happen to me and I opened it up only to find that the innards were sticking together because someone/something spilled on it. And was quite dusty inside.
