“Is there a point to buying this tv if I already have a 4K firestick? Other than eliminating the extra device having to be connected to the TV, what's the benefit? Should I just get a TV in this price range with better specs & just keep using my firestick”

Yes, the point is to save money. Amazon essentially subsidizes the cost of the TV to get you to be in their ecosystem where you will presumably pay them back over time buying their content. The price for this TV is significantly less than a comparable TV without Fire built in.

I would get an up-to-date 4k tv, with HDR; the size of the tv screen is up to you. You can still use the 4k firestick in any new tv, as I have been told that doing this will enhance the picture quality even more.
