It is not a smart TV as it is defined. It is a Google Cast television. It works through your router with an external device such as a tablet or smartphone. You will not have on screen apps like a traditional Smart TV.

you can connect to your wifi network using a media player that is capable of receiving a wifi signal. this tv will not connect to your wifi network on it's own.

It's not a smart TV but it has google chrome installed in it so you stream shows from your phone or tablet without a separate chromecast device
