QuestionWhat is the difference between 3.0 and 2.0. How do I know which one I need?

- Answer USB 3.0 transfers are up to 640 MBps (Megabytes Per Second), 2.0 transfers are up to 60 MBps; basically USB 3.0 is about 10 times faster than USB 2.0. You have to check your computer to see if it has USB 3.0 ports. This drive is backwards compatible with 2.0 which means it works with both 2.0 and 3.0 USB ports. Hope this helps.

- Answer Thanks for your question, Robert. Yes, the Toshiba Canvio Basics 2TB external hard drive is compatible with Xbox One. Keep in mind that once you plug the external hard drive into one of the available USB ports on the Xbox One it will delete the contents on the hard drive and reformat it for use with Xbox One.

- Answer You need an external hard drive with an AC power cord (the dvr USB port doesn't provide power to the hard drive like the ports on a computer). This one doesn't have external AC power, but apparently there is some special cable available according to the Toshiba web site. Good luck!

- Answer This hard drive is compatible with the Wii U however you will need to purchase a USB 3.0 Y cable. One of the connectors powers the HDD and the other handles the data.
