USB 2.0 & 3.0 compatible... if you have a free USB port, should be good to go. Chrome OS may have some quirks regarding some of the pre-loaded features, but would operate the same as a storage device.

Please try again later.This Canvio Connect drive will work with any devices which support USB mass storage devices, and you'll get the best performance when connecting to devices that support USB 3.0. Since Google states that Chromebooks and the Chrome OS do support USB storage devices (https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/183093) this would be expected to work fine. You may want to also check with Acer to be sure that your specific Chromebook model has no limitations that would prevent it from working with a USB mass storage device.
