“Transfering SVHS to DVD Follow-up Question I asked whether there is an SVHS/VHS to DVD Combo device and was told that there isn't and that if I wanted to transfer SVHS to DVD I should buy an SVHS player and a DVD recorder. I have an SVHS Player. If I buy the Toshiba Multiformat DVD/VCR Combo Model DVR620, could I run a line from the output on the SVHS Player into it to transfer it to DVD? If so, what kind of output would I need on the SVHS Player, i.e. will. S-Video or yellow/white/red AV plugs work? Thanks. This has been very helpful.”

• The DVR620 has both S-Video and Composite video (yellow connector) inputs, so if your SVHS player has either of those outputs, you can transfer those videos to DVD.

• Yes, this unit has input which will allow you to input most normal types of players including various DVR, VHS, camcorder, etc. (it does NOT have an HDMI-in cable). I am pretty sure the S-Video cable will work fine.
