• I dont believe you can do that because it's an add on to your existing plan and you don't have a current plan so you would need to get the whole talk text and data plan to use the internet when not connected to wifi but they have a cheap 35 dollar plan you could get. I haven't seen any cheaper for total wireless but I've seen 10 and 20 dollar plans for att.

• Yes it will work for data alone but nothing else! I don’t recommend it data goes to fast for 10 $
