Yes 99% of the time you can always keep your own number but it has to be in service at the time that you poured it or rather take it to Total wireless if your phone number is not in service it might get released into the into the big pot of numbers you know again you have to have your number working for it to for you to keep it on a new activation with a separate company or your current company.
