• The phone has the capability to change notifications sounds individually.

• Hello Jacalyn, because Android 8.0 (Oreo) introduced a revised notification system, individual contacts can no longer have unique message tones. The Samsung Messages app now allows you to assign unique tones to conversations. Please follow this link https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01002126/ for steps on getting this set up. ^Elizabeth
