“How do you know if it is 'solar charging'? Can you recharge the battery pack by sticking it out in the sun or does it only use solar charging to trickle charge a plugged in device if the battery is completely depleted?”

A green led in the corner lights up when it's charging via solar.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Can charge under the sun and it has a indicator light that shows when it’s charging. It takes about 25 hours under direct sunlight to fully charge which is a long time if you use the battery daily. It does have a plug to charge in the wall. The solar panel is an option for backup. I recommend having 2 of these or at least have a secondary option if you wish to charge this device in the sun
