Is this router a modem as well?

Hi! No, this is not a Wi-Fi adapter or Wi-Fi client-router. The Archer C59 must be connected to the Internet or primary network source via Ethernet cable. If you are looking to connect your TV to your existing wireless network via Ethernet cable, we would suggest using one of our Wi-Fi extenders, such as the RE220, or possibly a travel router, such as our TL-WR902AC.
