I did a quick check and you can use WAN port and still get TV through your cable, so this router is fine. You will need to call into fios and they will remotely activate the WAN port for you. That is what I had to do when I "cut the cable" I hope this helps.

The exception is if you have fios for TV also (I am a cable cutter, I got rid of cable TV and stream everything I need) This will need to plug into the network port of the fios modem. I don't think that port can be active if you also have the TV service, and you need a router with MOCA -a coax port that hooks to your TV cable. You can try to ask fios tech support, but they will likely say you need to use their modem.
