Hi! While we do not know the type of router you were supplied (no model # given), it is highly unlikely that the supplied router will perform on the same level as this robust, powerful, AX11000 option. If you are interested in introducing the Archer AX11000 to your network, you can simply connect it to your existing Internet source (e.g. modem) via Ethernet cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The quality of AT&T's equipment and the firmware they push on it is the equivalent of giving you a donkey for a horse race so I can say with confidence that this will be a vast improvement. I'm near certain that they require you use their equipment for the modem end of business, but bridge mode can be configured allowing you the use of your preferred router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If by AT&T you mean cable service, then it depends. If the router supplied by AT&T is actually a MODEM and Router combo, you will still need a Modem to convert the cable signal into a form that the router can recognize. Once you have a stand alone Modem, then this Router will work wonderfully.
