Hi! Static IP Addressing is performed on the client device (printer, computer, etc.) only. For the router, you can instead opt to use the DHCP Address Reservation feature. This allows you to ensure the router's DHCP server only assigns a specific IP address to a device, based on that device's MAC (Media Access Control) address. While it achieves a similar end result, Static IP and DHCP Reservation use different methods to reach a similar goal.
