My ASUS routed is located against an interior wall that the other side is outside. From that point the generator is about 20 feet. Between the router and the wifi extender is three walls, two in a small bathroom, and one in a closet. Even with the Netgear 3700 extender the 2.4 signal drops frequently. The signal strength reading at the generator is around 60 - 70 % at best. I don't want to buy another router and have the same problem. What's your thoughts. Thanks again.

While the Archer AX3000 is designed to provide robust, reliable Wi-Fi 6 connectivity for your home network, it will depend on the router's position and the generator. Is the generator 20 feet from the router? Or is it 20 feet from the nearest exterior wall to the home, meaning further than 20 feet from the router? In the first case, it shouldn't be an issue, assuming there aren't many walls or significant obstructions between the router and the generator.
