Can the bands be split on this router? null

Holly, yes! I use the tri-band for my home, and I am able to get the 3 different networks to use for specific devices. You have some functionality with the app to modify how the different Ghz work together. You have 3 Ghz options: 2.5Ghz for slower devices, 5Ghz and 6Ghz for faster devices.

Yes, if by "split" you mean assigning each band a separate SSID (network name), this can be easily done using the Tether app or router's web interface.
