Hi! If you want to utilize AXE5400 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, you can install the RE815XE in Access Point Mode and wire it to your router via Ethernet cable. However, if you do not need Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, the dual-band, AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 connectivity offered by the TL-WA3001 is an excellent standalone, feature-rich Access Point option, as well.
