• Yes. One has to be a base router where you plug in an RJ45 (typical network cable terminator). This main Deco will connect to the satellite Decos providing a gateway to whatever network it is plugged in to, like the internet.

• Yes, the main Deco node connects to your existing Internet source via Ethernet (Cat6, in your case). The remaining nodes can just be connected to power and establish a Mesh Wi-Fi connection. Or, as an optional preference, you can choose to wire them via Ethernet as well, if desired.
