Hi Dee, In recent firmware releases, we upgraded our Deco wireless backhaul technology, so you no longer need to restrict the 6 GHz band solely for backhaul. The upgrade utilizes multi-band wireless backhaul technology that aggregates multiple bands, including 6 GHz, into a combined backhaul for connections between Deco units. This reduces the need for additional user configuration by automatically adjusting to the optimal connection according to your wireless devices' performance. The system also ensures faster speeds and a stable connection while reducing latency and improving overall throughput. As for purchasing extra nodes - all of our Deco models are compatible, so you can introduce additional Deco nodes to your existing Deco network with ease. If you want to ensure Wi-Fi 7 Mesh connectivity throughout your Deco network, we suggest using additional Wi-Fi 7 nodes for best results.
