Yes data transfer is a lot faster. Also, if you have a camera system, pictures will be a lot clearer and works a lot smoother with less static interference from the outside.

Please try again later.Hi Gev323, If your home is wired with CAT5 (not CAT5e), the maximum wired throughput over those cables would be limited to 100Mbps, which would significantly bottleneck the Deco BE65 Pro, as each node is equipped with both 2500Mbps and 5000Mbps Ethernet ports. For 1000Mbps (also known as 1Gbps or Gigabit) connectivity, CAT5e would be needed. And for speeds beyond 1Gbps - such as 2.5Gbps or 5Gbps, CAT6 cabling would be suggested. Please bear in mind would only apply to devices that are connected via Ethernet to your home network.
