• No need. They are made to be outdoors. Placing the X50 in line of sight of the source will help.

• Hi! The Deco X50-Outdoor is designed with weatherproofing and is intended for outdoor use. As long as the installation environment does not exceed the environmental specifications of the router, it should work fine: Operating Temperature: -30°C~60°C (-22°F~140°F) Operating Humidity: 10%~90% RH
