• A:Answer I live in a very rural area with no other wifi singals other than my own. Its currently sending a signal strong enough for a wifi camera about 400 feet away. Im able to use the internet from about 600 feet away. All of these ranges are conditions that are unobstructed.

Q: QuestionCan I run 2 in a daisy chain , 300ft apart using a single PoE injector and no repeater? Main Deco-> (Injector)---300ft --> X-50---300 ft---> X50

• A:Answer Your will need to use a POE + switch that is capable of providing enough power to support the two X50 units. You will also need a Gigabit POE ++ extender to split the ethernet between your two X50 units. The second unit would not be daisy chained to the first X50 because the X50 does not passthrough POE. The single ethernet cable from the POE switch would plug into the IN port of the extender and the two units would plug into the OUT ports. You might have to use a second extender to extend the run.

Q: QuestionCan I connect this wireless to my ATT wireless router so I can extend my range outdoors?

• A:Answer No. Deco can only wirelessly link to other Deco units. You can use it with your ATT service without any other Decos but you would need to physicality connect it to the ATT gateway via ethernet, and place it in AP mode.

Q: QuestionCan a single one of these be used to connect an existing wireless network provided by a Comcast XB7-T to extend the range of said network? dont want different network names, or buy two devices, or plug a ethernet cable in just provide power from an outlet

• A:Answer Most Routers provided by Internet providers can be setup to pass through the connection (Called Bridge Mode), so you could get 2 Deco's (or more) and let Deco manage your network. One Deco would need to be connected to the Comcast router and the rest could be spread where you need them. I do this with my Starlink Router because it will not cover our whole house. When you do this, the comcast router will not broadcast a wifi name and you will only see the Deco router network name. I have been very happy with ease of use and coverage with the Deco's.

Q: QuestionI want to extend Apple Bluetooth range to cover a 1/4 acre lot; house walls concrete block. Since Bluetooth v5 uses 2.4ghz WiFi, would adding two Deco X50 Outdoor routers to my existing 3 node indoor XE5300 mesh accomplish this goal?

• A:Answer Hello Bill Bluetooth, in general, operates on 2.4 GHz. It is a separate sub-frequency from those used by a router's 2.4 GHz antenna. Because of this separation, Bluetooth requires its own separate radio. Deco cannot extend the range of BT. However, that said, the maximum range of BT 5.0 is up to 800 feet. Assuming your coverage is a square lot, that 1/4 acre should be well within the range of BT 5.0 on its own. If it's not then you would want to look for a product specifically designed to extend Bluetooth. and I do not know if any currently exist.

• A:Answer Hi! If there is minimal/no obstruction, and the Deco X50 Outdoor is placed in an ideal location, it may work. However, depending on your environmjent, a point-to-point CPE, or omnidirectional outdoor EAP (e.g., EAP610-Outdoor) may be more suited to your needs.

Q: QuestionI currently have 3 Linksys MX12600 Mesh WiFi Router - AX4200 WiFi 6 Router - Velop Tri-Band WiFi Mesh Router. Will the TP-Link Deco X50 outdoor mesh router be able to link up to my Linksys mesh system I currently have and provide extended range outdoors.

• A:Answer Yes and no. Yes it can link to the one of the existing Mesh units via Ethernet. But it would be a separate AP, creating its own SSID. It would not be part of the existing Mesh and it would not be able to link Wirelessly to it.

Q: QuestionIs it my understanding on the X50 it is Poe+ in and NO Poe out …just Lan out one ethernet ports? So safe to connect to an outdoor TV that has a Ethernet ports for a better connection … but also the Tv has its own power supply

• A:Answer Hi Timbo, Yes, the PoE feature of the Deco X50-Outdoor is for input power only - to deliver power to the Deco unit itself. Its ports do not provide PoE power to other devices. We would absolutely recommend connecting an outdoor TV to one of the available Ethernet ports on the Deco X50-Outdoor.

• A:Answer Hi, The Deco X50 is not a universal Wi-Fi Extender. Deco is a Mesh Wi-Fi solution that can be used to replace your router, or in conjunction with your router (in Access Point Mode). However, the main Deco unit must be connected to your existing network source via Ethernet cable, and will require use of the Deco app for setup and management.
