Yes they can be used as range extenders. I initially used them as such, but once I set them up as intended, I never went back to using extenders. Using them as a mesh network allows seamless movement of your devices no matter where you are in your environment.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.They can be yes, but this defeats the purpose of purchasing the system that will provide a full mesh network between the different nodes. This system will replace the router in your current network setup and one device will serve as the router and the others will function as extenders for the network. If your current router is a gateway device (modem/router combination) provided by your ISP, you will need to disable the routing functions of the gateway by putting it into pass through mode (see technical documentation for your specific device).
