Hi Peanut, to use the Deco XE75 Pro AXE5400 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E Whole Home Mesh System, you will need an existing Internet source/connection (for example, a modem, ONT, or gateway that is connected to your existing Internet service). Then, using an Ethernet cable, you can connect the main Deco unit to your Internet source device and conveniently set it up using the Deco app.

You'll be connecting these towers to the network that you have running through your home or office. You would not be able to connect these to a random network. Once you connect these to your network, it's sort of permanent. It's like a router, but these devices become more embedded as hardware than a regular WiFi extender.
