• Yes, the 2.4GHz is only a requirement for the Smart Plugs. Phone connection has nothing to do with it. Once you create your Kasa account, everything is really communicating through the internet account, allowing you to control from anywhere.

• Yes, absolutely. As long as the camera is connected to your network via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and the Internet, you can manage/control it via the Kasa app on your smartphone, as long as your phone is also connected to an Internet source - whether at home or away.
