“What happens if I lose internet, and therefore the wifi signal in my house? I am planning on using these for lamps. Will the normal outlet power source override and keep the light on?”

• If your smart plug loses WiFi or Internet connectivity, it will remain in the same state it was in when the connection was lost. Regards, TP-Link Support

• There is a manual on/off switch on the side of the plug you can use if you loose Internet. connectivity.

• There is a bypass button on the outlet. So it helps if they are accessible. Secondary lights ie... nightstand, curios, and artwork not that important to have access. I would think if the light is on it will stay on. But of course you won’t be able to control it with your app without internet connectivity.
