“Can I use this product with our home wifi with my smart phone using another wifi connection ; ex if home wifi is used on this product ,can I use a phone with no service other than a wif connection. Can I still get live 24/7 video”

I use I phone for viewing on a different wifi and just cell device also use a iPhone with no service to view via hot spot wifi so you should be fine just make sure you register device within a month for notifications keep receipts for proof of purchase necessary. enjoy

Overall I have had a good experience with the system but once in awhile I do have issues with certain wifi connections not allowing me to access the service. The best way if you are out and about is to use your phones service because it would be more secure connection.
