Yes, the camera utilizes your router's 2.4GHz WiFi signal for connectivity. As long as your router's WiFi is password protected, the camera will be also. Furthermore, the camera's video feed and clips are encrypted within your Kasa Smart account, which is created during setup, adding an additional layer of protection for your Kasa Cam.
